ALM 12 YEARS AT A GLANCE
Not-for-profit corporation ALM Community Outreach, LLC was established in 2004 as an organizer of construction sector employment for the Deanwood residents of Washington, DC's northeast section. ALM introduces tax incentives to participating investor/vendor contingents to partner with our underserved core constituencies. Among ALM's important organization mission roles is the creation of financing agreements, or loan note(s) which are issued in connection with construction, real estate & business development undertakings.
Along with it's successor ALM Community Development Center, Inc founded a year later, which concentrated on computer training, the combined entities were instrumental in evolving women headed property management and investment firm Robinson, Edmonds & Mitchum, LLC, dba REM II, LLC and it's sister 501(c)[3] REM 10, LLC in early 2010. The REM enterprise group was originally formed to serve as an employment vehicle to the wives of high clergy in Prince Georges County (PGC), Maryland & Washington, DC. Since 2009 ALM has focused on creating construction partnerships targeting minority set aside opportunities in neighboring PGC. REM amplified the access to these projects through forming a triple minority eligible enterprise in alliance with representatives of 10 families, featuring depth in construction, property management, real estate brokerage, accounting, social services, clergy affairs and public administration.
ALM's community development agenda is sponsored by AAAA Air Conditioning, LLC, which was established in 2006 by Apostle Abraham Mitchum [the organizer & pastor to New Jerusalem Temple of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Inc. which was formed in 1988]. The business group further benefits from Apostle Mitchum's role as long term presiding bishop over the 4th District of Bible Way World Wide, Inc., encompassing the DC, Maryland region. Currently the 4th District includes 10 churches---along with a South Carolina affiliate. Apostle Mitchum's been elevated to Bishop's Board chairperson who's 20 districts' presiding bishops administers the entirety of Bible Way World Wide, Inc's slightly more than 240 churches around the globe. In 2013 he was respectively at age 55 the organization's youngest international board chairperson for it's 20 officiating bishops. He was additionally appointed to BWWW's Apostles' Board in July of 2015.
REM II is renaming key real estate portfolio alliances Apostolic Property Group dba 'APG'. The preliminary assets becoming operated under APG are joint projects of the Mitchum family, along with efforts of architect, disabled military veteran owned M & M Gibson Enterprises, LLC of Roanoke, Virginia and Hartford, Ct based architect, developer & artist owned M E Johnson & Associates, LLC; and vegan soul food, seafood/sports lounge juice bars (of Maryland & national deployments), along with Howard Speight Caterer barbequed turkey and strategic NYC and Chesapeak, Va barbeque sauce partners.
ALM's negotiating terms for a 3 black women owned site 150 acre waterfront site in Virginia Beach, Va to host 3 black first lady inspired educational campuses under the development site name Black Matriarch Developments dba 'BMD'. The efforts being enacted through our National Schools Group dba 'NSG' academic projects' endowment campaign; which is supporting 21 educational initiatives. ALM is a co-adviser to church consultant John R. Garrison, P.P. in consulting to the DC Shriners on the construction of a 200 room Waldorf-Astoria peer hotel to also be developed on part of the BDM parcel.
